This course builds on the foundation of lifesaving basic life support (BLS) skills, with an emphasis on high-performance team dynamics, communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. ACLS also covers airway management and related pharmacology. Upon successful completion of the course, including a skills test and a written exam, participants will receive an ACLS Course Completion Card from the American Heart Association, valid for two years. Course registration also includes Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Pre-course preparation is required and includes a self-assessment.
This course is for students with a non-expired ACLS Certification Card issued by the AHA. If your ACLS Certification Card has expired you are not eligible this renewal course. Students must provide a copy of a current unexpired ACLS Certification Card.
